Actor Sridevi passes away at 54 after suffering cardiac arrest

Veteran actress Sridevi died after suffering a cardiac arrest on February 25 in Dubai.

Sridevi was at Mohit Marwah's wedding in UAE when she suffered a major heart attack. Sridevi, husband Boney Kapoor, and her younger daughter Khushi were in Dubai to attend a family wedding. 

According to a report in Filmfare, Currently, well-wishers are rushing to Sridevi’s house in Mumbai to be by her elder daughter Janhvi’s side who couldn’t be in Dubai due to her shooting schedule.

Sanjay Kapoor, her brother-in-law, told a leading entertainment portal, “Yes, it is true that Sridevi passed away. I just landed here, I was in Dubai and now I am flying back to Dubai. It happened roughly around 11.00-11.30. I don’t know more details yet.” 

She had started her career as a child artiste, and grew up to be one of the biggest female stars India ever had. She was awarded her Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honour, in 2013.

Sridevi was last seen in MOM.
